Your Hosts

Sheri Berger

Business Minion and Dog Momma

Sheri Berger is not a performer, but is instead a Business Minion.  She has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and has studied for her MBA, as well as industry designations in her field.  Back in the day,  before all of that, she was originally a music major, who sang, played piano, and saxophone, and dreamed of learning a stringed instrument so she could tour the world in an Orchestra.  Instead, life took her elsewhere, and she has spent her time in the business world, which much of it working for non-profits.  Some say that we marry the person we would most like to be, and with Chris, she thinks that is perhaps true for her.

Ever since the podcast began, Sheri developed a love for promoting theatre and its social, emotional and economic importance in our lives.  The pandemic made many of us more resolute in making sure the Arts survive and thrive - as so many of us picked up a paintbrush, or a pen, or whatever Art form used as a mechanism to stay engaged and happy during the times of forced solitude.

Sheri spends much of her time volunteering in local theatre mostly working behind-the-scenes in lighting and costume positions as well as front-of-the-house positions.  She has assisted with costumes in the Lofte Community Theatre's production of Oliver (2018), and assistant stage managed for the Lofte's 2022 Christmas production, Every Story Ever Told and Then Some. In 2023, Sheri was the Stage Manager for the Lofte production of The Nerd (2023),  and  will never quite look at boiled eggs the same again.  She has steadily worked the front of the house positions as well and in 2017 was awarded their Usher Volunteer Award and continues to serve on the Board of Directors.  Sheri has also been an actor in various Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre productions, and was the Narrator in Love Is?  (2022) which was a staged reading at Chanticleer Community Theatre at PACE.

Sheri is a frequent writer and reviewer for Appearing Locally, which is part of the LTA (Lincoln Theatre Alliance). You'll find her reviews on their website.

Sheri has spent much of her life sewing and making costumes for science fiction fans.  She also made pirate costumes for Chris that he wore while performing for The Jolly Rogers.

She works hard behind the scenes of the podcast, and also enjoys networking and meeting so many talented individuals.

Chris and Sheri also love their dogs!  And  they both immensely appreciate the listeners and guests of our podcast!
